The Biscayan Coast
This vast area houses typical fishing harbours, beaches frequented by families and surfers and, in the hinterland, a whole heritage to explore, including wine-growing.
The advantage: you stay close to Bilbao, easily accessible by metro or train.
Gernika-Lumo, a symbol city since its bombing in 1937, is an economic and historical center, away from the tourist movement of the coast.
