About... Photography

Little back,

in order to describe, at best

My course in photography.

I went into "photography" a little by chance...

But especially because of passion. A long time ago.

At the time when Digital Photo hardly existed.

The time of the reel movies that were placed in the neighborhood photographer's shop. Black & White, less expensive to develop, with 1 contact board (printing negatives in film format, 24x36 mm); or in small print 10 X 15 cm.

Fascinated and attracted by the object, which one always transports with oneself, the case and its objective.

I had opted for the first LEICA affordable at the time, the reproduction of a Minolta model, the CL.

And then we trigger according to what happens in everyday life.

Entré en apprentissage de carpentier à Bordeaux I started photographing the guys from the yard and then the urban landscapes and/or the countryside around. The banalities that pile up in shoe boxes at home or in the suitcases of the carpenter travelling on the Tour de France des Compagnons.

A few years later we are in a big city in the South West, always with a LEICA box (an M4). There I meet the Espace St Cyprien in Toulouse.

This Espace had an "photography" antenna with speakers, themes and workshops related to photography. He proposed, free access to the boxes with 1 magnifier under inactinic light and development bowls; (with a modest subscription).

In short, all the material for his photography prints!
